Tim's practice involves all aspects of real estate and financial institution transactions, including but not limited to condominium, single family and mixed use developments, commercial acquisitions and leasing, asset based and real estate based loan transactions. He has represented such high-profile developments as The Ritz Carlton Hotel and Residences, the 100 Central and Whole Foods Market, L'Ambiance on Longboat Key, L'Elegance on Lido Key and LaBellasara at Golden Gate Pointe.
Tim has been a member of the Florida Bar Association since 1981 and has been designated by the Florida Bar as a Board Certified Real Estate Attorney , the highest level of recognition by the Florida Bar.
Tim received his Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Business Administration from Salisbury State College in 1978 and received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Stetson University (1981). He was a Charles Dana Scholar at Stetson. Charles Dana Scholars are selected in recognition of superior academic achievement as well as demonstrated leadership in the college community.
Tim was born in rural St. Mary's County, Maryland and has been a resident of Florida since 1978, practicing first in Palm Beach and moving to Sarasota in 1983. He is an active member of the community, and he volunteers his time at InStride Equine Assisted Therapy , an organization who's purpose is to improve the physical and/or neurological status of individuals with physical and mental disabilities through the utilization of the horse as the most effective treatment tool.
Tim has been given an "AV" rating by Martindale Hubbell. An AV certification is a significant rating accomplishment...a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.
